THE ARIZONA STATE SENATE UNANIMOUSLY PASSES THE NAVAJO CODE TALKERS DAY BILL
PHOENIX – the Arizona State Senate unanimously passed the Navajo Code Talkers Day bill on Feb. 27, a bill sponsored by Senator Carlyle Begay (D-7.) “My first bill to pass the Full Senate on Third Read, very humbling,” said Sen. Begay.
Recently, the Navajo Nation lost Navajo Code Talker, Arthur J. Hubbard Sr., who served as the first Native American State Senator in the Arizona state senate. Currently, the former chairmen of the Navajo Nation serves as the President for the Navajo Code Talkers Association.
